Took it out on a lake to see
how the skegg worked at
tracking. I was amazed at how
well it functioned. Next test will
be whitewater on the nantahala
in three weeks.

New to Kayaking, this one was recommended by a co-
worker.
Extremely stable, solid build, very adjustable comfy seat,
TONS of storage space for overnighters or all day trips.
I was amazed at how fast you can move forward with the
skeg down - even in windy conditions.
The unit was extremely well packaged, and I'm pleased to
say the only scratches on the unit are from me.
The drink holder handles a 32oz Nalgene bottle without a
problem.
Highly recommend for folks new to kayaking.

Im very happy with the quality
of the Remix XP10. The
engineering and design team
have done a fantastic job with
this design. I managed to
catch a 20 Rainbow on my first
trip out on the Kayak. The
stability on the flat water
was very impressive. I was
specifically looking for a
Kayak to make multiple day
trips down rivers havent made
a trip yet and one that would
handle well on flat water.
This kayak tracks well and
though not as fast as a flat
water specialty kayak, I was
able to cover the desired area
with easy...and catch a nice
number of fat Rainbows.

Ive had it out on a river once
and was impressed. It handled
well
and was very maneuverable yet
tracked well even with the
skeg up.
The seat is comfortable and
adjustable to give you a good
fit along
with the adjustable foot pegs.
I was able to carry the kayak
to and
from the truck to the water,
but it isnt light at 49 lbs.
It rode well
on my SUV with a pair of
Yakima Hulley rollers and
Yakima Mako
Saddles.

Because of work I have only
had the chance to get out once
in the XP10. It does not track
as well as the slightly longer
boats I have been paddling but
it is so responsive I will not
hold that against it. A brace
or a sweep and you have turned
on the proverbial dime. The
seat is much more comfortable
than my other boats and there
is plenty of storage and foot
room for my size 14s.
All in all a great boat and
the only two minor complaints
I have, the slightly less
tracking ability than I was
lead to believe and the fumes
from the silicon used in
construction, getting me high
when I nosed around the hatch,
would not put me off this boat
at all.
ACK sent it quickly and in it
arrived in good shape,
unwrapping it almost got the
best of me it was packaged so
well.

I've got my XP10 from Austin Kayak one year ago and
waited until now to do a review. 1st, Austin Kayak
is great to deal with. Ordered my XP10 online
along with a few accessories and it showed up at my
door very quickly with no fuss or fanfair.
2nd, I love the XP10. I do mostly creek floats in
the Arkansas Ozarks with level II & III water, and
several overnight trips. Seems the XP10 was
purpose made for this type of floating. Tracks
very well with the skeg in place on the flat water
pools, and is very stable yet maneuverable in the
swift water. The Badd Ass seating is very
comfortable and really like all the leg & knee
padding. For overnight trips it has plenty of room
for storage of necessities inside and on deck.
It's 'dry' storage in the back is not totally dry,
but I've yet to see any boat that's dry storage is.
I highly recommend this kayak and rate it 5 stars.
