ACK Review: We absolutely loved the Ultimate when it came out and now we love it just that much more. This baby can fly! Pedal around the lake, break out the paddle and paddle a bit, feeling really lazy? They have a motor for these as well. More into quiet times, get the optional sail. You can do it all with this boat but I like the pedals for what they are, handsfree kayaking. This one is the same as the Ultimate 12, except FASTER!

The ultimate 14.5 propel model works well.It is a great kayak. Its stable and the propel unit works great. When I placed the order for 2 of them, they arrived pretty quick. The accessories arrived in a separate shipment, and it had arrived quick also. The product is good and I would consider buying there brand in the future specifically through Austin kayak.I have to say that the customer service displayed from Austin kayak, has made the experience more enjoyable than the actual use of the native ultimate 14.5 kayak.Thats weird.lol .Also I live 4 miles from a Native dealer and I was able to save about a $1000,considering the fact that it was also shipped from Texas to Florida. You might consider that outsourcing, but I gave the Native dealer first chance at my money. That is my experience so far and would expect my utlimate yaks to do well in the future.

Works as advertised, and does it well with one flaw: gurgling, splashing, and leaking from the well. The leaking mostly happens when the Propel unit is out of the well and I am paddling, as the water splashes up and hits the well cap with such force that it leaks out into the boat. A number of Propel users have rigged a foam "plug" to put in the well that seems to work and I will fashion one. Native watercraft should design and manufacture something similar. Lastly, I love this boat. I am a photographer, and being hands-free was just what I was looking for. This boat is exceptionally stable, and the chair is extremely comfortable.

The Ultimate 14.5 Propel beat almost all of my expectations. It pedals easily and moves into the wind and current with little effort. My buddy got the Mariner 10 Propel and it does not track well at all as it takes constant attention to the rudder. The only thing is that I have not been able to adjust the seat to what I think should be comfortable enough. Great Kayak!

I HAVE TO ADMIT I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE WAY THIS KAYAK SURPASSED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS. ALL WHO HAVE TRIED IT OUT LOVED IT. MY 12 YEAR OLD GRANDSON WOULDNT GIVE IT UP SAID HE COULD DO IT ALL DAY LONG. AND HE DID. IT PADDLES FINE AND OUT IN 15 MILE AN HR WIND AND WAVES IT HANDLED WELL.THE ONLY SUGGESTION I HAVE IS WHERE THE PROPEL FITS IN THE SIDES COULD PROBABLY USE A LITTLE REINFORCEMENT BUT I HAVE USED IT 6 TIMES ALL DAY LONG AND IF I HAD THE MONEY I WOULD BY ANOTHER ONE PRONTO FOR MY GRAND KIDS THEY ARE REALLY WHY I LOVE KAYAKING SO MUCH A HAPPY AMERICAN LOVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST. WHAT CAN I SAY ACK IS AWESOME ALSO.

Review:
very fast boat, you can go 3-4 miles per hour against current and wind with very little effort, controls very well when just being paddled instead of peddled, tracks real nice, very quiet operation, the boat does take on a little water when going fast through the hole for the propel drive, not bad a little sponge keeps up with this,it is great to be able to go in reverse when you run into something with propel,it is nice to be able to stand and stretch after being in boat for a long while
