Super high quality product. It's the perfect size to keep blue gills and
sun fish, for when I'm flathead fishing.
This live well works better than my built in bait live well on my Bay
Boat. The really nice Feature is the live well goes where you need it.
Deb in tex
Cooler definitely works to keep
bait alive longer; however, the
first time I attempted to hook
the pump on the outside, the
cheap plastic mounting bracket
broke. Not happy with this
design flaw! I expected
something better with such a
tough cooler and did not
expect anything to break the
first time out
Great live well. Use it to take
the kids out fishing for live bait
for my fishing trips. Lots of
room and holds a lot of bait. I
tapped the hose on the inside
of the well with electrical tape
where it leaves the inside to
prevent it from leaking out. I
also carry two small water
bottles that are frozen to drop
in once the bait starts coming.
I don't have a live well in my
boat so I purchased this cooler
to keep baitfish while fishing
for flatheads. It keeps the fish
alive as long as you keep the
pump running. I turned mine
off the other night and the bait
died in about 2 hours.
My pump would not work on
battery when I received it. I
found a loose wire that had not
been soldered together. I
called Engel and they sent me
a new pump without question.
I told them I would just JB
Weld the wire, but they insisted
in replacing it. That is
excellent customer service.
Four and a half stars. I have
used this twice and it has kept
the shrimp alive all day both
times. It seems to do much
better than my little yellow/flap
lid jobbie. I am using this on a
small fishing boat used in the
Florida Gulf of Mexico and
backwater. It is a little large
for my hobie revo but imagine
it is no bigger than Hobie's live
well if you did want to use it on
The only negative so far is the
little plastic tray inside the
cooler falls into the water quite
easily. I like having a tray but
need it to stay in place. Any
ideas? Maybe velcro?

ack service was second to none thanks i

This is a great ALL SEASON bait cooler!!! No matter hot
summer days or chilly winter nights this bait cooler
works great!!! Because this bait cooler insulate so well,
just remember keep bait cooler cold (put couple frozen
water bottle) before adding bait fishes/shrimps. One
thing to remember not add too much water, water may
leak from air hose hole. I highly recommend purchase
Engel live bait cooler (it will save you hundred or maybe
thousands of dollar in long term) and from Austinkayak
because they got superior customer service
with a little ice in the water, this
cooler type bait well kept live
shrimp for two full days. Normally
they die within a few hours during
