I wanted a non mechanical device to lock down my anchor rope and this works great. It slides in the cleats and because they are tapered it locks down tight and quickly.

This cleat works great with a stake out pole while fishing near Grand Isle Louisiana. The floating yellow nylon rope I use to stay clear of underwater snags had been a problem with other cleats.

works better than a clam cleat which is pretty specific for the type and size of rope. This cleat will work for any size rope. I mounted on my Hobie Pro Angler using an existing bolt that holds on the side board. I installed it on the same side as my anchor line and use it to secure the anchor line in position once Ive set my stakeout pole. My anchor line has a 2 foot bungee section allowing me to stretch the line over the cleat.

This works great on the gunnel of my Native Ultimate 14.5. I mounted it just rear of the solo seat position on my left side. This keeps me from killing my elbow or hitting the paddle on it. It was a good purchase.

This is a cool product but it's pretty big. It requires a 1 3/4 x 3 1/2 inch flat space to mount - - difficult on a lot of kayaks. I ended up not mounting this cleat on my boat -- using a mini clam cleat instead, which requires only about 1/2 by 2 inches.

Easy to install. I use it for my anchor line on my kayak - much easier and quicker to release the anchor line than a standard cleat. Holds very well, too - just make sure you use SS nuts/bolts to attach the cleat to your kayak.

I use the ZZ Cleat on my truck to tie down large loads. I am in construction and for many years have used the cleats on my trucks. They are fast and hold well. Always have someone at the lumber yard ask about them when I secure a load in about three seconds. These are nylon, normally use steel.

Second one of these I bought. They work great seem nice and strong so far. I gave it 4 hits for the fact that the area where the mount hole is placed is a bit narrow and hard to get the head of my rivet gun down in there. Both cleats have been place on Ocean Kayaks used in the bays for fishing. Used about 4 months.

Added this product to inside of my cockpit to secure my anchor line as part of my anchor trolley system. Anchor line runs from anchor through trolley ring to this cleat then back through ring to line spool. Allows for quick disconnect at this cleat in case of emergency. This zig zag cleat provides excellent holding power.
