Reviewer: Scottyboy Rating: 5 Date: 02/11/2012
Review: I've have put these on every yak that I've owned. Easy to install and easy to click paddle in and out of. These a lot easier and secure than the bungee strap. Good price too.

Review: a must to stow your paddle and allow hands free fishing and adjustments

Reviewer: r rrobbins Rating: 5 Date: 11/30/2011
Review: I purchased this for my Native Ultimate 14.5. It's called a deck mount paddle holder, but I didn't like the idea of mounting it on top so I searched online and especially the Native owners group forum for other mounting locations. I ended up mounting it on the left side, under the adapt-a- trac about 1" and behind the Native logo about 1". I used some 3m marine adhesive with the well nuts to give it more holding power. I had my first opportunity to use it Thanksgiving weekend in Gulf Shores, Al at Little Lagoon. The wind was blowing hard and the fish weren't biting, but the Native Ultimate paddle holder was holding tight!. I am probably going to purchase and additional holder for my ultimate. It was a great purchase for $11.50!

Review: The paddle holder was installed in just a couple of minutes and most of that time was spent deciding where to mount it. The included hardware created a water tight mount and the holder itself works with several different paddles and holds them all perfectly. Great product at a great price!

Review: This paddle holder is the best! Easy to install, and holds the paddle snuggly without difficulty releasing it. Highly recommend it!

Reviewer: MichiganSr Rating: 5 Date: 08/14/2011
Review: Works good, I gave it to my son for his SOT, I would not recommend it for an Ultimate 12 that is mounted upside down on a car top.

Reviewer: Terri, NJ Rating: 5 Date: 07/30/2011
Review: My friend installed this on my kayak and it is perfect. It holds my paddle well and it is a breeze to disengage the paddle when I want to use it. It holds the paddle tightly so no fears of it falling off the kayak.

Reviewer: Larry Rating: 5 Date: 07/29/2011
Review: Bought two of these 4 yrs ago for my kayaks and liked them so well, just bought 2 more as gifts. These are absoultely great, so simple to install, holds paddle exactly where you place it with a nice firm grip. Love these things. Don't drop these from your product offerings as I have seen nothing better any place.

Reviewer: paddle & pedal guy Rating: 5 Date: 07/11/2011
Review: Excellant! Click in the paddle with one hand without even looking at it - great when you have a big fish on the line (the bungie type take two hands)

Reviewer: Scott Rating: 4 Date: 07/01/2011
Review: Very sturdy holder for your paddle or fishing rod. It does seem to loos some tightness if you keep you paddle in it over a week but it still holds it fine. I just tray to not use it while in storage.

Reviewer: MarkinKY Rating: 2 Date: 05/09/2011
Review: It's OK but I'd go with paddle leash for fast hands off activities, especially fishing.

Reviewer: hunt Rating: 4 Date: 05/04/2011
Review: Great, easy to install and use

Reviewer: ENDJR Rating: 5 Date: 04/14/2011
Review: I am a belt and suspenders kind of guy. I like to use these paddle holders + the usual bungee hold down kit. Some kayaks just don't have a good snug place for a paddle on the side of the hull and bungees alone don't fit well or hold the paddle securely. These will give you a professional looking job and bungees added for extra protection!

Reviewer: Steve L. Rating: 5 Date: 04/07/2011
Review: Excellent! I ordered three more for another kayak, two to hold the spare paddle ends at the bow, and another mounted in front of the cockpit.

Reviewer: G. Howard Rating: 5 Date: 04/03/2011
Review: Easy to install, and works great.

Reviewer: R. Williams Rating: 4 Date: 01/02/2011
Review: I haven't had a chance to use it out on the water yet but it seems well designed. Paddle snaps in and out easily and it holds the paddle securely in place. I wish there was a way to remove it from the gunwale when not in use as it looks like it might get caught on things when loading and unloading the kayak.

Reviewer: bob10 Rating: 4 Date: 10/18/2010
Review: It works, holds the paddle 'til you want it back. I had a little trouble finding a place to mount it but that's the boats fault (Necky Rip).

Reviewer: KDR Rating: 5 Date: 09/30/2010
Review: Excellent product. Easier than trying to place your paddle into the two piece kind.

Reviewer: Bill Rating: 5 Date: 09/23/2010
Review: Simple design & easy to install. I've had one on my yak for 3 years & bought another for my wife's boat. Frees your hands for fishing or rafting up.

Review: Used on two kayaks and they are excellent for quickly getting paddle out of the way but conveniently available.

Reviewer: Will Rating: 5 Date: 06/21/2010
Review: Excellent product. Mounted 2 on my Sea Kayak. One on the deck in front of the paddler and one on the side parallel to the length of the craft. Works well. Allows paddle to stay in place either for quick access or in an out of the way location. The paddle can be secured while reading maps, eating lunch, fishing, taking a break, etc... Works better than anything else on the market.

Reviewer: Mike Rating: 4 Date: 06/14/2010
Review: So far so good. Have only used it once on the river but at this point it works really well. Will see how it hold up long term.

Reviewer: GCieply Rating: 5 Date: 06/10/2010
Review: Well, I received it, I installed it and tested putting my paddle in the holder and taking it out of the holder. I haven't had the kayak out in the water yet this year but I can assure you that this will work very well. It was very easy to install and well worth the price. Buy it... you'll like it!

Review: PRETTY NEAT LITTLE PADDLE KEEPER ---- IF IT FITS YOUR PADDLE SHAFT SNUGGLY. I ADDED A "V" SHAPED BUNGEE ACROSS THE TOP JUST IN CASE!

Reviewer: TdWard Rating: 5 Date: 05/24/2010
Review: Works exactly like its supposed to. Had to place it a little farther forward then expect due to interference with my paddle stroke, but still easily within reach.

Review: One of the best things you can do for your boat!

Reviewer: Mulletman Rating: 5 Date: 02/21/2010
Review: This is a must have for every kayak. The best and quickest way to get at the paddle and put it away no bungees to fool with.

Reviewer: wolfridge Rating: 4 Date: 09/19/2009
Review: I took the advice from other reviewers and skipped the track mount paddle holder and installed this deck mount paddle holder for my Native Ultimate 12. It's more rugged than I thought, especially since I haven't broken it yet. I had to struggle a little with placement though - again it would be nice if Native would pre-mark the kayak with a suggested place for such an accessory. It can also double as a fly rod clamp if you aren't too fussy about marking up your cork grip. It holds the paddle well but placement is a big factor on how well it will perform.

Reviewer: Kirk Rating: 5 Date: 07/06/2009
Review: I bought one of these last season. It works perfectly. Easy to install. I recently bought a spare kayak. I'm buying another one of these mounts for my spare kayak today.

Reviewer: Brent Rating: 5 Date: 06/27/2009
Review: Great paddle holder. Mounts secure, solid construction and great mounting hardware.

Reviewer: Angry angler Rating: 4 Date: 06/26/2009
Review: It was easy to attach to the kayak and works infinitely better than stowing the paddle. It is a convenient one handed snap and secure design. Be careful with the clearance for the head of the mounting screw to the paddle though ... a larger screwhead doesn't countersink and can make some significant scratches on the paddle shaft.

Review: No such brilliant holder here in Australia - so I imported a couple for my Heritage Kayaks and my canoe. Mine are all Deck mounted and are holding the paddles firmly in place in any position (push paddles for- and backwards to adjust..no problem) Good price - consider that I had to pay overseas p/h and BELIEVE ME - it is worth every cent. Lothar

Review: Works great!

Reviewer: Alan Rating: 4 Date: 06/04/2009
Review: Very nice and good price. Holds the paddle firmly. It does stick up a little so it might be a challenge to find a place to mount it. Put it on your paddle prior to mounting and mover the paddle around to test different areas. It can also get in the way when you load the boat on racks if you mount it on the deck. I would buy it again.

Review: This was better than the clip-on holder. Easy to install. Position the clip slightly behind your torso so you do not hit it with your stroke hand.

Reviewer: Mike A Schmaling Rating: 5 Date: 08/28/2008
Review: Excellent. Easy to install and securely stows paddle when not in use. It worked flawlessly when fishing out of my kayak. Highly recommend it.

Review: paddle holder is great no more fumbling around worrying about my paddle floating while fighting a fish great when eating lunch or just resting

Reviewer: Canoedancing Rating: 5 Date: 06/12/2008
Review: This one is a no-brainer, one of those "why didn't I think of that?" products that I don't want to live without. Put it anywhere you want to park your paddle while fastening skirt, taking photos, looking through binoculars, eating lunch. Fits standard whitewater and touring paddle shafts, I'm not sure about the small shafts. I have one on my Prijon Chopper, Prijon Yukon Expedition and Swift Bering Sea. Now all my friends want them, too. Great product from a good company to do business with.
