The Harmony Seat Truss Hardware Kit contains all the hardware you need to install a new seat in your canoe.
Everything was included and of good quality. EVERY paddling item I buy I firsk check to see if it's available from ACK because their shipping doesn't break the bank. it arrives quickly, their prices are reasonable, and there are no nasty surprises. Always "Quality" and "Value"
First, this is worth buying. I could not find these locally despite an exhaustive search. Even if you could you will not save anything so save yourself the time and money and order these. These are variably depicted on the net. This may mean that the hardware changes a little between packaging runs. The screws I received were 6" long and were threaded over a length of 3". I have an old "Old Town- Penobscot" with plastic gunnels. The finish washers are very sharp and when putting the screws in with a cordless drill spin sometimes. At the same time they get hot. Collectively this turns them into a miter bit or hole saw. They cut right through my gunnels. This can be remedied in a whole host of ways. They make rubber grommets or washers for finish washers. you could put stainless washers under the finish washer like I did. You could dent the lip of the finish washer so it won't spin. My canoe had been repaired by the prior owner and had finish fender washers on it, (These were AWESOME!!!) (it would be a great improvement to this kit to add finish fender washers for canoes with plastic gunnels or to offer a kit with them) Note: if you have not worked with stainless much it is soft. Use a #2 Phillips and keep pressure on the head not to mar the head. Summary: Buy this kit!
