This boat is amazing, Have only been on a few outing thus far but i love it. Self draining yak is a must and def not over rated. Did well on the river in some decent rapids. Tipped over a water fall and the bungee's held everything is place. I wish the front hatch cover came standard. The wheel is very nice for entry and exit esp on a boat ramp. Just load up everything by the car and wheel it on down right into the water. Also light enough i can secure it on top of the truck by myself. My main complaint is the foot pedals not as comfortable with bare feet as i would like. Seems like an important issue that was over looked. They are however easily adjustable. Seat is a little awkward to adjust positions on the water, i am sure it will get easier with practice. wish there was a few built in rod holders as there is room for them behind the seat. more built in dry storage would be a plus. The one that's on there is pretty small. Very stable

Top Question & Answer
Q: We just order the 14.5 for fishing offshore including calm waters. How is the 12 for some offshore trips?
A: Although I have not personally taken this boat offshore. I can tell you that it has plenty of stability and speed to handle offshore trips. Even smaller boats than this, nowadays, are made to handle offshore fishing excursions.

Q: I am looking to buy one of these. I was wondering if it has enough room to hold my yeti Rodi and a tent and some small fishing stuff. And to can I carry my son who is 8 on it. He won't fish with me on it just going to camp site with me.
A: Hi, Thank you for the question to ACK. The rear tank well dimensions are 20" at its widest point, 10" at its most narrow point, and 28" long from front to back of the tank well. The Roadie dimensions are 20"L x 13.75"W x 14.38" T. You should be able to fit the roadie in the cooler no problem, as well as your camping gear. You know the size of your son, so I would say this would be a call that you would have to make.

Q: Does anyone have a kayak cart they would recommend for the Native Slayer 12? The wheel at the back is fine for paved/flat surfaces, but looking for something a bit more aggressive for trails and rocks. Thanks!
A: We would recommend the C-Tug for your kayak. https://www.austinkayak.com/products/3751/C-Tug-Kayak-Cart.html
