The Perception Essence 16.5 sea kayak was designed for the smaller paddler looking to take a longer journey in any kind of sea conditions. The Essence focuses on efficiency, tracking and stability to provide a paddler with a boat that is very predictable in all conditions. It has a moderately soft-chined hull that allows great edge control and turning. It comes with a drop skeg, and can also be easily fitted with a rudder. The Essence comes in two sizes: a 16.5 for smaller paddlers, and the 17.0 for larger paddlers.
