Sun shades typically are heavy, permanently mounted structures not compatible with small, lightweight paddle craft. The WindPaddle Bimini is a Sun Shade that easily attaches to any paddle craft, usually using existing deck fasteners or hardware. Built with lightweight and unbreakable materials, the Bimini will not change the stability of your boat while offering you cool shade and protection from the elements.Retain your common paddle stroke while paddling under the Bimini. Easily attaches to existing hardware on decked kayaks, inflatables, canoes and sit-on-tops.

I had to add a couple of lines to stabilize the shade, because it kept falling over to the left. I also had to switch out the line that attaches to the bow, since if I released it, it would come out of the block I had run it through, and I wouldn't be able to put the shade up again, without getting out of the kayak. It is really helpful in reducing the sun exposure. I can stay out much longer in the Florida heat, so once I made the modifications, I am very happy with it. I did forget to remove the fiberglass strut, so I made a mess of that. Maybe including an extra one would be a good idea, since it is pretty easy to forget. It also took many views of the video for me to get the folding technique. A laminated card with instructions that can be attached to the cover would be helpful.
wind paddle sail. Very disappointed. It does not set up easily. Keeps falling to one side or the other. The bar to stabilize the sail broke through the sail and sticks out about six inches. This interferes with my paddle. I am not enjoying kayaking because I'm fiddling with the sail all the time. Finally took it down even though I need the shade. Waste of money.
This is unfortunate and unusual. We are happy to replace or refund this purchase. Please contact Customer Service and we will take care of this.
Awful product. Bought it last year, tried to use it once, and it would not attack to my inflatable kayak , so I stowed it in my garage(should have returned it). This year I bought a new hard shell Hobie so I was thrilled to try it again. Oh dear no....the lines get tangled, it does not attach easily without poking my kayak seat, when you leave it in the tailing aft position (down) it acts like a sea anchor, then when you use it the silly thing flops around. The final insult was the hard stays ripped thru the bow end when I was trying to stow it in the 3 fold manner they designed....the fold is another disaster. I had to throw it away and used it only THREE times. What a waste of money!
Thus far disappointed. Advertised as being super easy to use and install. Watched the youtube videos several times anyway. Took it to Pensacola for our 3-piece kayak. Be sure to review that in most any low wind it will act as sail or worse just flop over. Two people could not get it attached to our 3-piece kayak. After spending nearly 20 min trying to attach it, we set out, only to have to re-dock 10 min later as it would not maintain due to low wind. We would appreciate any advice on attaching this to a 3-piece kayak. We wanted shade for our dogs and the rear paddler. Will try again this weekend. Even two adults paddling seemed to create too much "breeze" for it to hold up. Hopeful but disappointed.
