Give the product a 5. Straightforward assembly, half-day job. I have 2 triple kayaks, both around 21 feet long, and a single. It's tough to find a trailer with enough length. This trailer does the trick. I've used it at freeway speeds for long trips, rides great. Works well to wet launch kayaks at boat ramps (I left the middle cross bars off so kayaks could release into the water without binding on middle rack). No more manhandling beasts off the top of my car. For boat ramp launches, can pack the boat on the trailer with lighter items in advance, can also load packed boats back on the trailer post trip. Can load boats solo. Can pick up the tongue easily and move the trailer with both boats around on flats, in and out of garage, etc. The rubber padding on the crossbars and posts is excellent, boats can be braced into the crossbar, upright, saddles not necessary. The trailer rides pretty low, so for my long boats, I would not ride with them inverted on the lowest crossbar (traditionally larger kayaks are transported upright on saddles) because the rudder on the doubles would be close to the ground, could scrape. Not sure about a large canoe with the highly upturned prow (traditionally transported inverted) could have clearance issue on lowest crossbar? I leave the boats stored on the trailer in the garage. Overall, fantastic rig. Give the service a 2. As per other review, plan ahead, I was frustrated by the slow arrival of the title, it's mailed separately. The quick shipping on the trailer was amazing, but doesn't help if the title paperwork for registration comes 10 days later. I assumed all would ship together. So heads up if you're trying to hit a date.
We ordered this trailex trailer and are very happy with it. We now have our kayaks up off the ground and stored nicely. Easy to load and unload them and all the hooks for bungee cods are very convenient. We put in the water only 2 miles from our house so we haven't really road tested the trailer. The tires seem kind of small but again can't say if there is any impact since we haven't taken it very far. Of note plan ahead, it took more than a week to receive the title paperwork after we received the trailer.
