Purchased two pair for our use in the Adirondacks. Having used them a half dozen times already, these have performed very well. Good traction. They go on and off very easily and stay put. Have had no issue with them sliding around or slipping off. Snow has not balled up underneath. Seem to be self-cleaning as we hike.
The rear spikes of one trail crampon kept sliding off the bottom of my hiking boot, ending up on the side of the boot. I haven't had this problem with microspikes.
This is the best traction device for running on icy trails. They definitely beat out the competition, and the cost is the same.
