She is as simple to use as she is stylish. As easy to install as she is to load. So your only workout is the ride, not racking your bike. Her name is The Saris Thelma 3-Bike Hitch Mount Rack, and she is the most popular member of the Saris Family of hitch rack systems. Weighing in at just 26 pounds, Thelma is the lightest, most easy to use platform hitch-mounted rack ever. Bikes can be loaded and ready to go in less than two minutes and the entire rack can be installed or removed by just one person. But odds are pretty good that once you put her on your vehicle, you will not want to take her off. | ||||||||

| Review: | Thelma 3 is all you need. Design, weight, functionality are all 5 stars. I have hitch position like described below, though. Rack in up position hit bumper and couldn't be secured. Simply by belt sanding down the plastic wheel holders closest to car fixed it. The rack is breeze and everyone who sees it loves it. But none more than me. 5 stars also to ACK. Answering calls on weekend, very helpful staff, product in stock and best price (using 20% coupon) by a long shot. Thelma 3 | ||||

| Review: | This is a good product, but be aware that it is not compatible with receivers that are recessed more than 3 inches from the bumper. I think it would be an easy install for vehicles which do not have recessed receivers. In my case, I had to buy and extension and an additional lock. I would not have bought the rack if I had known about this problem, but I do like my bikes being supported under the wheels instead of being suspended as in my previous rack. Something else to be aware of is that you can not see how far the rack extends beyond the car when it is unloaded and is in the deployed position. I think that other vehicles, especially in parking situations, may not see the rack either and could easily hit it when pulling in or out. Fortunately, The rack is very easy to deploy and easy to swing up into the undeployed position. | ||||

| Review: | Have not used it yet. Attached it to my hitch with not problems. Second time I attached it hitch pin system broke. Called Saris and had to saw the bike rack from my truck. Discover that inside the hitch is a 1/2 inch nut held in place by a plastic bracket. Saris explained it works just fine and sent me a new plastic nut holder and bolt. Will try it again but very little confidence in a plastic nut holder. Would not recommend this to anyone. Will probably have to take it to a machine shop and have it upgraded to solid metal at my expense. | ||||

| Review: | Purchased product to transport three mountain bikes with rear suspension (that cause problems with my existing Yakima rack). Thelma fit the bill perfectly. What's really nice is that you don't have to take off the front wheel...just place the bike in the wheel slot, cinch everything up, and drive to your destination. On the highway it helps to put a strap on the outboard bike and attach it to the vehicle to avoid wind sway, but otherwise keeps the bikes safe and secure. | ||||
