great product! i've used it a few times fishing and camping. you can use one hand or two. i tried it both ways and i must say if you can only have one mode of firestarting w/o a flame producing tool this would be the choice! actually, i would rely solely on the blast match for ANY fire starter! as always. ACK is superlative in their customer service, shipping and deals!!
I am trying to learn how to use this thing. It was VERY difficult to start a fire with it. I read a review and the person said they used cotton and it lit right up. I tried it and it eventually worked. I would not feel confident in a survival situation as I could barely get it to work in my backyard. So I am still in search of the Firestarter that would work for a novice.
