The Hobie Dodger Spray Cover and Sun Shade is a spray, cool breeze or sun shade for your lower body. The Hobie Dodger Spray Cover and Sun Shade works like a small pop-up tent that includes loops of bungee to connect it to your boat. The Dodger extends from behind to just in front of the peddler. A velcro strip seals up the center of the The Hobie Dodger Spray Cover and Sun Shade in front of the peddler to enclose the area and protect the lower body. The entire dodger folds forward to help when entering or exiting the kayak or just to make pedal adjustments to the Mirage Drive. An access panel is built-in for using the sailing rig as well. The The Hobie Dodger Spray Cover and Sun Shade installs in minutes initially, but installs in seconds once the fasteners are in place.

Review: Dodger works as advertised. Short support rod is very difficult to insert; don't give up by cutting the rod. I usually leave the dodger assembled when not on the kayak. Hobie's installation instructions for the Mirage Sport have a few dimension errors, but are close enough to properly install the attachments by viewing the photos.

Review: This works as well as advertised. My lower half is protected from hours of sun exposure.

Review: Nice product, a little smaller than I would have thought. Poles were a bear to get in place(I leave them in when storing) Keeps you very well protected in wind and cold. Not for the claustrophobic, but if you are a die hard in New England who is still out there in November and December this is a must.

Review: A good idea and an outstanding shape (an exact replica of a Stephenson's Warmlite tent), but the execution seems flawed. The poles are skinny and not shock-corded. I found it extremely difficult to fit the long pole into its sleeve ends, and IMPOSSIBLE to fit the short pole in. Pole seems too long. Bent the ferule trying. As it turns out, the shape will not adapt to the front of the Oasis as I was hoping (no one promised it would anyway). I'm unsure how well it would all furl up to lay in the front of the boat as claimed. Should have some way to furl it and secure to the front, sort of like a convertible top on a car.
