I bought this bag for my husband. He was incredible happy with it. We kept in mind the zipper thing...which really isnt a problem if you just go easy on it. The bag is snuggly and warm. We camped to about 34 deg and he was toasty and comfortable. This bag fulfilled all our expectations. Great product for the price range....and yes, it compacts good too not too heavy, making it very suitable for backpacking.
Nice bag, but be very careful with the zipper. It very readily catches the fabric next to it and is hard to disengage.
This bag was tested on a camping trip outside of Buena Vista, CO when temps dropped down to around 30 degrees. Overall the bag held up just as I expected. Kept me warm throughout the night as temps dropped and was just big enough in size. As far as the zipper functionality, as long as you took your time zipping it up, it wasnt an issue. Great bag overall.
Very comfortable, roomy, warm bag for the money. My only complaint is the zipper: it catches the fabric. While it is easily unstuck, this becomes tedious very quickly.
