 Product Description and Specs

Improve your odds of catching the big one and avoid the annoyance of bugs at night with The Wildcat Lighting Fishing Light System - Basic Kit. Through years of research the folks at Wildcat Lighting have discovered two things. 1. Fish are attracted to green light. 2. Insects are repelled by Amber light. The Wildcat Lighting Basic Fishing Light Basic Kit provides the solution for both. Kayak kits by Wildcat Lighting are designed for fishing and have specially tuned lights for deeper penetration into the water to attract more fish. The kit includes amber anti-bug lights to discourage pesky bugs. Wildcat Lighting has changed the frequency of the green light system for maximum water penetration to attract more fish in both coastal and freshwater applications.

• Attract more fish and repel pesky insects at night
• Kit includes one set of green lights and one set of amber lights along with all mounting hardware
• Amber insect repelling lights also provide an unobtrusive light source for the angler
• Additional items needed for installation: small zip ties, silicon, acetone/isopropyl alcohol

If this products intention is to light up the water, it certainly does the job. However, a longer length (15") would have been nice considering the premium price and the length of my OK kayak (14'). I did do the homework and for comparable LED lighting. A company called Oznium sells a light strip at the fraction of the price (and by length), but the Wildcat Lighting is sold as a "fishing light system". The Oznium may be strip lights might be a good alternative for the budget-minded kayak fisher. May purchase the comparable one day once these lights expire; however, these lights seem to be made quite waterproof and durable so it may be awhile before that day comes.

Just installed them haven't had a chance to use them yet due to medical problem.... CAN'T WAIT! Only problem I had was after installing the yak slid off the stand and hit the lights against the side of the 5 gallon bucket (stand). Three of the lights went out for good. This seems like excessive damage for falling/sliding ten inches and scraping the side of the bucket. The lights are super bright and I was able to light up the entire dock after installation can't wait to get to the coast!

Great lights. Only problem is that they really need to make the green strips about 3ft min instead of the 15 or 16 in they are. Kinda only lights up a small area. I bought more led lights from another place. 16ft. Cut and made my own strips. Works much better. Lights up everything around my kayak now. Can shoot carp at night with them. Also musky fish at night and see follow. If u want a kit get this. If you are more hands on like me do a lil looking to put your own kit together. More lights way cheaper.

Very nice product. Installed with ease. The fishing lights work very well in drawing in the bait fish. I use them for night fishing for crappie and white bass, they dont stand a chance!! The "bug" lights however don't work all that well keeping the bugs off of you, but work great as working lights for rebaiting, retying, and looking for tackle. Made a custom battery box with mounted switches for my TP120 that fits in the center hatch. 4 stars becuase the bug lights don't work as advertised, I have been overwhelmed on calm wind spring/summer nights here in North Texas due to the fishing lights being so bright.
