The Wilderness Systems Tarpon Kayak Replacement Handles contains two replacement handles that will fit the Tarpon 100, 120, 130T, 140, 160, 160i as well as the Ride and many others. Sold as a pair.
These are as advertised. They matched the end handles on the Tarpons. With the front handles, you will need a phillips screw driver and a wrench to hold the nut while untightening and tightening the screws. The back handle is easy to replace and only require the screwdriver. For side handles, you will want to order the pair with the bungee to hold your paddle in place.
These handles are junk. the fabric tears at the transition from hard plastic to fabric. Happened on both my Tarpon kayaks. Unfortunately nothing else fits so I have to keep replacing them, tried Malibu's but no dice. Any advice?
These replacement straps were for my Tarpon 140. They fit like a glove and were super easy to replace. Simply remove the two stainless steel screws, making sure you hold on to the black plastic washers, as they might get away from you. Then screw down the new handles, simple!!! My Tarpon 140 had brass fittings for those stainless steel screws, --the only tool needed was a screwdriver.
Product was as described on the Web. Service was fast and professional. I would buy from this company again. They were the only company to have the item we wanted, so were thrilled to find that they actually carried it.
