Big Game Fish Clip Stringer 

I have been using the Big Game Fish Clip Stringer for about a month now. At first glance this was a clip that I thought looked cut out for larger game fish. The clip is constructed of a heavier gauge wire that is just under a quarter of an inch thick. This was a concern as I was about to go fishing for white bass. That concern vanished as soon as I put the first fish on the clip. Even with small fish I find it much easier to slide them onto the clip than with more traditional stringers. The abrasive fish gills do not catch on the metal clip. The Big Game Fish Clip works just as good on larger fish. I just got back from a coastal fishing trip and put several 20+ inch trout on the clip and it worked like a champ. In addition to the less abrasive nature of the fish clip there are a couple other features that give it a leg up on a more traditional stringer. The handle is coated with rubber to make it more comfortable to carry especially when you have a few heavy fish on. Also because the clip is spring loaded it is generally much faster to pop the clip open and put a fish on which means more time with your line in the water. The clip does take some strength to pop open. The one flaw with the Big Game Fish Clip is the lack of an included method to attach the clip to your boat and throw it in the water. I like to keep my fish in the water alive as long as possible. However the clip does not include any kind of string or rope to do this. This was pretty easily resolved with a couple feet or paracord and a carabineer. This clip may also present some problems for wade fisherman as it sinks. If you do use it for wade fishing I would suggest a lot of extra rope to keep the stringer and the sharks away from you in the water. This Big Game Fish Clip gets the job done without a lot of the hassle of a more traditional stringer. This means more time fishing and more fish to put on the stringer. Due to the need for some additional materials for certain fishing situations I would give the Big Game Fish Clip a 4 star rating.

Review:	Saw someone else using could not believe how easy with bigger Red Fish and Drum it worked in the kayak so I bought one. It has worked as easy as when I first saw it. Great for kayaks couldnt be happier to get rid of the old stringer!
