The Eureka footprint is a great addition to our camping experience mainly because it is much lighter than the tarp i was using before, which was never the right size (i had to fold under, etc.) -- the only caviat i have is that, despite what the video above states, this is NOT a "heavy duty tarp", it is actually very thin (it appeared to me from the finish of the folded footprint that it would be a thick, unstretchable product). When you pull it all out, it is quite thin, but it still provides good protection from rocks and water below because it is even a bit stretchy (it covers the ground contours quite snugly). We recently went camping in the rain, and it was suggested that we use this as a canopy, but if you were to clamp it to stretch it between trees, this would definitely tear. Nice replacement for a heavy tarp under your tent.

Got a two door tent with a vestibule at both ends? You may want to consider a larger footprint than the tent floor calls for, especially in high country snow conditions. It would not only take care of the tent floor but provide a floor in each vestibule(s) and blowing snow for tents without flaps. Can be laid out on your carport, measured with a felt pen, cut(if needed) and grommeted for stakes.

Top Question & Answer
Q: can this product be easily cut to size for different tent footprint sizes? If so, what should be used for cutting and will the material ravel after being cut?
A: Hi, thank you for your question. You can cut this footprint with a straight blade knife and this material is very durable and will not unravel or fray. With that being said we always recommend trying to fit your tent and footprint as best possible so there is not an excess in footprint.
