A great tandem is more than a solo kayak with an extra seat. It's a unique experience in performance, design, and comfort with families and partners in mind. Redesigned from top to bottom, the Perception Prodigy II 14.5 Tandem Kayak was inspired by the popular recreational Prodigy hull, but with a rocker profile focused on speed, tracking, and minimized noise when paddling through flat water and light currents. The all-new tandem outfitting features a pair of ultra-comfortable Zone DLX seats with thigh padding for both paddlers, plus multiple adjustment options including a new "on the fly" movable bow seat and foot brace design with the addition of an adjustable stern foot brace system. Whether paddling solo or tandem, with pets, kids or adults, this outfitting can be configured perfectly for any outing.

been out on a small lake twice. once solo once tandem. Wind was 10+ mph both times. Tandem if in windy/choppy conditions it seemed more tippy but did not capsize or swamp so I'm not sure if thats a problem or just the people in boat. the perception tracks fairly strait in the wind but I find the rudder to bee a big help. I'm not sure if experience will render the rudder unnecessary or not. The seats are extremely adjustable fairly comfortable I'm still playing with them to find the sweet spot.
Love love love this kayak. Hangs perfectly in my garage. My grandson sits in the middle seat. So much fun. I have other Perception Prodigy kayaks (single) and I'll keep on purchasing Perception. On time delivery, very helpful at purchase time. Everything perfect!
