ACK Review
I’ve been using the See Change Jacket for the last three months and couldn’t be happier. I’ve owned a number of jackets that I use in cold and or wet weather and I got rid of all of them after wearing the See Change a few times. Where I live the high and low temperatures can vary by as much as 30 degrees and that change can happen within a few hours. Protective, comfortable and durable outerwear is a must. This jacket is a great combination of all three, plus it’s made of recycled materials which I like. The protective component is the most important to me. When it’s below freezing getting wet is not an option. This jacket did a great job of keeping my upper body completely dry during several trips in a sit on top when winds were in excess of 15 mph. The neck closure is a great feature but I was really impressed with the wrist gaskets on the See Change, they’re incredible. It’s a great thing to reach into the water up to my elbow and have nothing other than my hand come back wet, especially considering that I do it several times each trip. Comfort is second to how protective a jacket is in my opinion but it makes a big difference in how much overall enjoyment I get from a jacket and how much I’ll wear it. It seems like there’s usually a tradeoff between protection/ durability and comfort. I was surprised at how breathable the See Change Jacket is. Wearing it few times before I really soaked it in a good rain I questioned just how waterproof it could be because of how light and breathable the jacket felt. It turns out that it’s 100% waterproof and equally comfortable in wet or dry conditions. Before I put it to the test I was a little concerned about the comfort of the neck closure and the inner tunnel. I found that they’re both adjustable and that you can leave either completely open when the weather is warmer or there’s no risk of getting wet. I haven’t had the jacket long enough to really test the durability I have been surprised that it wasn’t punctured on two occasions. Once when I drifted into an overhanging tree, the jacket catching on several branches acted as the brakes and I was sure that I’d find some holes when I got back to the truck and took it off, but there were none! On the same trip I had two of three treble hooks puncture a sleeve. I flattened the barbs, pulled the hooks back through and couldn’t locate any holes in the jacket. I ruined the last high quality waterproof jacket that I had when I tried the same thing. The hooks left two holes that eventually unraveled rendering it useless. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is to consider adding more pockets. The one chest pocket is nice but another would be even better. I couldn’t be more pleased with a jacket than I’ve been with this one. It’s easy to wear and comfortable, it’s tough and completely waterproof. I’ve give it the rare 5/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who is out where cold and wet come together.

Review: I am a Swiftwater Rescue Technician and bought this jacket to keep the wind off me. I wear a wetsuit which is great at keeping me warm, but not at stopping the wind. I wore the IR See Change jacket on the weekend for 2 days of in-water training involving swimming down rapids, doing many in water activities, creating mechanical advantage systems with patient packaging and giving first aid. Throughout the training, I was amazed at how the water literally ran off the jacket as if it was plastic, leaving the surface completely dry. Even after I had got out of the water after an extended period of time, the jacket just shed the water straight off. I was unsure how strong the material would be if it got caught on sharp sticks, however when I swam past a submerged tree it just brushed it right off. It also kept my torso drier as there was less water in contact with my body, keeping me drier and warmer. The only issue I had was the wrist gaskets as I found they were slightly too tight, but that really is the only problem. A fantastic jacket I will wear in and around the water in whatever activity I am doing.

Review: The jacket is excellent. It is very comfortable. I used it last Sunday and when it started to rain I was 100% protected and dry.
