The Engel 30 Quart Dry Box Cooler has a unique feature, it is completely air and water tight. Use it for food, refreshments, or bait and if it tips over it won't leak. Alternatively, use the Engel Dry Box Cooler for storing electronics or safety equipment and the inside will stay dry or dust free. Dry Box Coolers can keep cold for up to 2 days.

I could not be happier with the product or Austin Kayak. It was here in Florida two days after I ordered it. As a dry box it does what it was intended to do. I bought it primarily as a cooler for fishing from a kayak. After eight hours in the Florida heat and sun very little of the ice is melted. This is not the equivalent of a high end roto molded cooler but it doesn't carry a $300 price tag either. This cooler/dry box fills a roll and it would be hard to find another product that does it as well for the same or less money.
This box is well made for a dry storage box as it has a good seal and keeps out dust and water. The problem is I bought this to use as a cooler and it is worthless at keeping ice. A full cooler of ice with pre-cooled drinks will not last 12 hours before the ice has totally melted. I doubt it will keep ice 4 hours during the summer. Just a bummer because it would have been an excellent cooler if the insulation wasn't so thin. No complaints about ACK. Good to deal with and fast shipping.
Sturdy cooler/dry box. I set up the UC 30 to work on both my paddle board, and kayak. You can also use suction mount accessories since the surface is smooth. I really like the fold down handle on the top of the lid.
Great but... I bought this as a dry box. I am not concerned how long this holds ice or if it has a drain plug (really reviewers, knocking a 30 quart cooler for not having a drain plug?) . The box seems well made. It would be nice to Ave a silicone gasket vs a foam, but not a deal breaker. My issue is the lid hinge design. The older design had steel hinges, the new ones are plastic. I won't say cheap for they may be good for all I know. But they are suspect. I'll up date the stars if I have no issues this season of screws loosening or hinges cracking.
