Packed with the latest technologies, the MSR Lightning Axis Snowshoe for Men represent a giant leap in snowshoeing performance, ease and comfort. First, the new Axis Gait Efficiency system allows you to laterally adjust bindings independently of the frame, ensuring efficient, parallel-tracking snowshoes, regardless of natural toe-out and toe-in stances. In addition, new SpeedLock bindings offer set-it and forget-it simplicity with all-terrain comfort, while new Ergo Televators save you on the steeps. And of course, you get the benefit of the most aggressive, 360 degree Traction frames and Modular Flotation tails to provide you with the confidence and versatility you want to enjoy broad range of snowshoeing experiences.

After using an older pair of 36" tubular framed snowshoes for most of the winter, I noticed a significant improvement in gripping power upon changing over to the 30" MSRs. It was like switching to all-wheel drive snowshoes! They were also lighter weight. I've appreciated the ability to rotate the angle of the bindings to accommodate the turnout of my left foot. Only "negative": the all-around serrated edges makes it a little uncomfortable to pick up these shoes with bare hands.
