This is in addition to my previous review from Sept 2014, as I recently bought a second paddle for my wife. That should say something there. This is an excellent paddle for whitewater. Great catch, slices nicely on the return strokes, does't seem to flex when I've braced hard or tried to roll up. The lower corner is showing some wear after year of use on shallow or rocky rivers and creeks. I've used it hard, so I have no concerns and would gladly buy another one when the time comes. ADK makes it a snap to get one; they have the best customer service, fast delivery and the 15% off coupon with each order is the best.
Bought this paddle on a great sale from ACK. I had looked at the Werner carbon paddles for some time not seeing what all the fuss was about (my plastic/carbon Aquabound was holding up quite well). I decided to give this a try and I am VERY happy. The paddle slices ever so nicely on cross-draws and when feathering the blade. Looking forward to seeing how well this paddle will hold up on the rocks...I do think it will wear a bit quicker and needs a little more care then a AB plastic/carbon or even the Werner fiberglass paddle. Time will tell!
