| The Approach 10.0, a new concept from Dagger, is an entry-level white-water/ moving water/placid water touring kayak. The ultimate in hybrid crossover kayaks. Stable, forgiving, and light with extra cockpit room. Molded in thigh-braces and a rear deck hatch. Integrated drop-skeg. Run rivers or paddle on the lake. The cockpit supports the use of a spray skirt and the storage hatches seal tight and dry. Spring-loaded drop skeg helps improve your paddling with directional tracking. | ||||||

This is the right kayak for the paddler that wants to play around in some whitewater, but also tends to find themselves in flat/still waters. With the skeg down the boat paddles as well as any 10 foot rec kayak, but with the skeg up, its all play!!! With the optional skirt, the Approach can be rolled - trust me - I've done it!

| Review: | OK, this is definitely my last addition - played with my Approach 10 in the gulf at South Padre recently - first day there were 10' swells, I had a blast riding them, watching the fishing and tour boats turn around and go back in because it was too rough. Used the Seals spray skirt, never felt out of control, it was a perfect beer drinking platform. The second day swells were down to 6', so we cruised up the beach, staying just outside the surf break zone, again in perfect control, even when a huge swell broke just before getting to me, I was sideways to it, thought I was going to die, but the surf just pushed me sideways and went under and past me, leaving me still upright and wondering what just happened! This seems to be a do everything (except long distance) boat - LOVE IT!!!! | ||||

| Review: | Just a further note - I've been out in 30mph gusts this last week, and I take back what I said about this boat being slow - it sits low enough in the water that I could make decent headway into the wind, while my buddy in an OK Prowler 13' was dying. No longer will I be sad and not paddle when the wind is up - this boat handles it! | ||||

| Review: | This boat puts a huge smile on my face! I haven't used it in whitewater, but have put some miles on it on Lake Austin and Lake Travis. With the skeg down just a little bit, she tracks great. She rides on top of the water, doesn't cut through it, so it's not fast, but I was looking for something to get a workout while my wife can keep up with me. HOWEVER - with the skeg up, on big chop and boat wakes, she surfs, spins, handles great, and is generally a kick in the pants to be in. Cockpit is roomy, it's quite stable - my favorite play boat! | ||||
