As the name suggests, the Pyranha Fusion River Tour S is a cross-over kayak which allows the paddler to enjoy two great areas of paddle sport, white water and touring. Super stable, fast and easy to paddle, the Fusion gives you the freedom to choose from some fun whitewater or checking out some estuaries or a sheltered bay. The tried and tested Pyranha skeg system adds a great feature allowing you to track in a straight line and the drag reducing skeg box allows the water to flow straight out of the stern of the kayak. The River Tour spec features the popular Flip-Top backrest which can be folded up or down dependent on the paddlers preference. Comfort or Control...Comfort - Choose the higher more supportive position for a day of relaxing on the water...Control - Select a low profile backband which won't snag your spray skirt and interfere with re-entry techniques. The River Tour S is the smaller brother to the River Tour, it has a lower volume and capacity than it's bigger brother. Discontinued 2014 model.

The Pyranha Fusion kayak is very light and performs well in fast water. It handles well and is very maneuverable. The skeg keeps it going straight in flat water. This kayak has become my primary one even though I have 3 other kayaks. HOWEVER! Be aware that if you will be traversing rivers with shallow, rocky areas you may want to consider another kayak. The Fusion comes with a very rough texture bottom which hangs up on anything you encounter in the shallows. I ended up sanding mine down and waxing it which pretty well removed the problem, but that may eventually be a problem if I have created weak spots as a result of removing the protective plastic surface layer. Just so you know!
I was in heaven the moment I started to paddle
