As the name suggests, the Pyranha Fusion River Tour L is a cross-over kayak which allows the paddler to enjoy two great areas of paddle sport, white water and touring. Super stable, fast and easy to paddle, the Fusion gives you the freedom to choose from some fun whitewater or checking out some estuaries or a sheltered bay. The tried and tested Pyranha skeg system adds a great feature allowing you to track in a straight line and the drag reducing skeg box allows the water to flow straight out of the stern of the kayak. The River Tour spec features the popular Flip-Top backrest which can be folded up or down dependent on the paddlers preference. Comfort or Control...Comfort - Choose the higher more supportive position for a day of relaxing on the water...Control - Select a low profile backband which won't snag your spray skirt and interfere with re-entry techniques. The River Tour L is the bigger brother to the River Tour S with increased volume and capacity. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Review: | This is the first kayak I've owned and I am very happy I found ack to get it from. The boat arrived shipped in 4 layers of protection!!! Yesterday was my first outing with it. I was working harder...but could keep up with the touring boats in speed without breaking a sweat. You just need to use proper paddling form using your whole body not just your arms. Once I dropped the skeg it ran like a dream and though I could see it plowing the water it ran smooth and quiet. We had thunderheads move in on use leaving us paddling into the wind but at no time did the wind want to pick up the bow. Very nice ride and great workout. | ||||

| Review: | This was an upgrade from a starter kayak. I use on the Potomac above Great Falls where there are light rapids and plenty of rocks. My first impression was wow, this thing should be easy to roll. I was used to solid secondary stability, and so it took some getting used to. Very fast with skeg down, and when I pull it up I can spin around like a ballerina. It came with the special storage box which is nice. The rubber hatch is snug and can take some struggling to get it on, so no using it while in the boat. I have run over some rocks and it just slides right over, no big deal. The quality is impressive. This is just what I wanted: a good, versatile boat that I can grow and learn with. | ||||

| Review: | Great boat. Tracks straight with the skeg down, but have seen many dedicated whitewater boats track far straighter with the skeg up. Great maneuverability and decent primary stability (a novice might want to lean toward the Remix XP for better primary stability). Took it out on some flooded creeks with class 2-3+ last week and it performed much better than expected. The dry storage is first class and the optional (but included) deck pod is a handy addition. I'm 240lbs and it rides a little low in shallower water (<8 inches) so heavier people might be portaging or wading alongside their paddling comrades in the shallow stuff. Overall highly recommended as a single boat for the exploration/adventure types like myself that enjoy a mix of conditions and might even veer toward class 4 on occasion. Also, ACK is excellent and their customer service is by far the best I've experienced! | ||||
