Smarttrack combines fixed foot pegs with movable rudder pedals. Allows you use a rudder without giving up rigid foot braces, essential for solid bracing in a performance kayak.
I had the guys at ACK put one of these on my Tsunami 140, as I discovered it had a mind of it's own in any noticeable wind. I didn't like the idea of sliding foot pedals like the Wilderness rudder kit had, and these are most excellent! Just a little toe pressure sends you where you want to go, and it flips up and stows nicely with no effort, in fact you have to pull against a bungee to lower it. My wife has the Hobie twist & stow rudder on her Quest, and I usually have to pull alongside to help her get it down. The smarttrack is number one in my book!!!
Why should I give you feedback if you are going to censor it - good system but not totally compatible with Focus 155 - drop in pin with no anchor falls out when being transported on side if not secured by bungee.
Love this system. Have it installed on several of my boats. Love the secure feeling the fixed peg with toe control provides.
I have three Native Ultimates and have SmartTrack rudders on all three. I wouldn't have a kayak without a rudder and SmartTrack is the best one on the market IMO. To mount it on the Native Ultimate you have to use the rudder bracket from the Native rudder kit and enlarge the pin hole. There is also a after market rudder bracket for the Ultimate that will work.
