Much more comfortable than my previous seat. I was using my rear tankwell for fishing tackle, but I use the tackle boxes built into the seat, so I have more storage. I would definitely recommend this seat.
Seat was relatively comfortable. No where near as comfortable as some of the high end seats but it does the job. Main issue is the straps that hold the bottom in place are too high so it allows the seat to slide forward when you lean back. With a few modifications I think it could be good though. The tackle box and attachments are very nice.
Nice seat wish it had some kinda gel cushion and after 7 hours on the water I noticed the seat started to sag and get a bulge in the lower lumbar area..I forgot to put the tackle bag on the back of the seat and could only imagine that it would have sagged more with the added weight. In all its a nice seat but not worth the money if your reading this look into the Seairsports Pacific Angler Kayak Seat. This is the seat I was originally going to get but liked the tackle bag on the back of this one
purchased this seat after discussing with ACK staff and doing lots of research. tried to make my own elevated seat for my Eagle Talon 12 but just didn't do it for me, especially bad when running rapids. disclaimer: I fish in my kayak anywhere from 8 to 15 hours a day when I go out, which is extreme for sitting in genera (I do stand often). I took this seat out for one 8 hour trip on river, then next day 8 hour trip on lake. i knew this seat would be more comfortable than a factory kayak seat, but I was a bit disappointed in the bottom. for all the thought into the pack, pockets, rod holders, and back rest, the seat made my rear end numb after a few hours. I'm 6'0 190lbs max. 2nd day was almost unbearable and felt like i was just sitting on the deck of the kayak. backrest is really comfortable, gear storage is great, lumbar is perfect for me. just wish more padding in the seat. almost wish I got the FeelFree Kingfisher for comfort, but think i'll just get some 1in" high density foam to put under the seat instead
