I have become a huge fan of the Klean Kanteen after getting a sample bottle at the Outdoor retailer show this year. I used it for my after workout bottle. I drink this concoction of powders that's supposed to make me feel better the next day after workouts. Normally I still taste the stuff in my water bottles that I use specifically for workouts so I only use those bottles for that. While visiting the Houston store I forgot a water bottle which in the Houston store is a big no-no. You can sweat a gallon out after 30 minutes. I grabbed the Klean Kanteen bottle out of my workout bag knowing I would get that chalky aftertaste. After washing it out I was stunned that I wasn't getting any of the nasty aftertaste I'm so used to with each swig. I was really impressed. So now I just carry one bottle with me and I'm pretty darn content.
I recently took my 27oz. Klean Kanteen out for a test drive on a climbing trip in Oklahoma. I like the bottle and the fact that it is easy to clean and I like the sport top that is on mine. I learned the hard way that the sport top won't survive nearly as well as the steel bottle when it slipped from my pack and plummeted 30 feet onto the granite slab. The bottle itself was no worse for the wear but the sport top was no longer functional. Next time I'll bring the loop top version which is a bit more substantial - I think it would have survived the fall.

| Review: | I recently bought two of the sport top versions of this bottle. They are sturdy and fit my cup holders well. I like the sport top, it's easy to drink out of and comes with a nice dust cap. I don't have to squeeze or really draw of the top to get the water to flow. Neat design. Buying two more for xmas presents. | ||||
