The Kelty Grand Mesa 2 2-person, 3 season tent is a great value for backpackers and campers and includes high-quality DAC Press-fit poles. It is easy to pitch, includes a single vestibule for storage, and offers excellent ventilation. DAC Press-fit poles are used in all Kelty tents including the Grand Mesa 2 where strength is more critical than weight. These poles feature a ferrule that is pressed in, rather than glued, using an extremely precise interference fit to hold it in place. This system ensures that the poles will be strong and reliable for many years to come, with no slippage or corrosion. Clip construction provides great fly separation and increased air movement. Clip construction makes it easier to set-up your tent and the clips connecting the poles to the tent are color-coded so set-up is easy and quick in low light conditions. The Gran Mesa Tent also features noiseless zipper pulls are lighter weight than standard zippers and they resist jingling when it's windy.

This is the best tent I've ever owned. It is amazingly great for the price. Easy to set up. Roomy. Nice vestibule. Always kept me dry. Have 2 of them. Superb ventilation - never any condensation. Sturdier than a lot of "high performance lightweight" tents. Wish they could adapt this tent to a smaller, lightweight 1 1/2 man tent, but still fits in the backpack.
Although I have not used this tent as yet, I have set it up inside my house. Nice quality, very easy to set up, good price, compact and lightweight for backpacking. For one person I particularly like the door on the end rather than the side.
