Excellent design by the team at NRS. Well built with lots of pockets and attachment points for gear leashes and tools. Here's a bit of prudent advice: Collect and install your preferred accessory list; small tackle boxes, whistle, line clipper, VHF, knife, pliers, 1st aid accessories, etc. Pick a nice sunny day in warm water and try a self rescue. Jump out of your kayak and try to get back in. You may find some of the items attached outside or even inside of the pockets are now in the way and catch on gunnels or mounted tracks as you try to get back aboard. This is an important test that needs done to keep you safe.
Good fit and comfortable to wear while paddling. Im 6 ft 185 lbs and purchased the L/XL. Bought this for kayak touring and not for fishing though I may use it for both. The material used to make the jacket however is on the thin side and I dont think its going to wear well. Im comparing it to the MS Fit by Kokatat my wifes which although a more expensive jacket appears will outlast this one. That said its still the nicest fishing vest Ive seen.
Just bought the newest one to replace my old one. Saved me a couple times now. Trust in NRS.
This is absolutely the most comfortable kayak PFD that I have ever worn. Very well made with plenty of storage pockets for whatever you want to carry.
