The Trident 13 has hit the perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, performance and stability. The Trident 13 was designed by professional kayak anglers looking to maximize features in a 13' hull. The ACS2 seating system combined with the adjustable foot pegs allows almost any paddler to hit their comfort zone in stride. The Trident 13 performs well in almost any water application but you'll notice the superb performance in breaking surf and rough seas.

First of all, I would like to personally thank the staff at ACK, and especially Jason, for their outstanding customer service. I ordered the OK Trident 13 with the Surf to Summit seat and a rudder and could not be happier with my choice. I am 64 years old and the kayak I chose is light enough to hand carry, is extremely stabile and makes a great fishing platform. The kayak arrived with a broken carrying handle. It was packaged well, but somewhere between Texas and NJ someone dropped it.:( Anyway, a quick call to ACK and a new handle was on the way from the manufacturer ! Great customer service ! Free shipping and no tax sealed the deal. If you are in the market for a fishing kayak, the OK Trident 13 is the way to go. Order the one-way scupper plugs and you'll have a dry ride. Happy fishing !
I purchased my trident 13 in June. I have used it several times in Lake George New York and the Manasquan reservoir in New Jersey. I have to say I was a bit disappointed with my kayak. The first day out it sprung a leak from the skid plate. The dealer replaced the kayak with a new one. The seat is very uncomfortable. The ride is very wet. I am 6 foot 1 and weigh 200lbs. The kayak is stable and tracks pretty well. The rod pod is amazing. I need to figure out how to prevent my tackle from sliding around below the rod pod. The gear can be difficult to find when it shifts around .
I've had a great time fishing in this boat. I purchased it to fish primarily in the intercoastal waterways of east central Florida, but have taken it off shore down in Miami twice; 30 minutes of paddling and you are in 200 ft of water. When the kayak arrived there was some minor damage to the seat straps. ACK did a great job and issued a warrenty claim with the OEM and a new seat was delivered in about a week. The only other issues was small chip on the front hull but was no reason to be concerned and didn't warrant returning the kayak. The shipping company was a little hard to get information out of on the estimated delivery time and making the appointment to meet them; they just showed up, but luckily I happened to be there when they did to receive the kayak. This is the best fishing kayak I've ever had; and in my opinion the best value for the features you get. I've tried the hobie mirage drive; but i must say that i'm more of a traditionalist, and they are triple the price. Also I like having the room in the center for my rods and gear. The rod pod and front storage is great and holds everything you need. I'm planning on doing some island camping this winter and have packed all my gear in the hull and even camping wood on the back....and there is still room. It tracks pretty good, but would be much improved with the addition of a rudder. There are fasteners in the aft so adding one would not be too hard at all. The seat is not too bad, I fish in the flats mostly so I get out frequently to stretch. But when going off shore for hours, it might wear you down some. But you can move around easily and get comfortable again without too much effort. I would certainly recommend this kayak to anyone looking get on the water with the best equipment out there and have a great time.
Great kayak. Purchased before leaving for a trip to Montana
