The NRS Co-Pilot Knife is an excellent choice for freshwater boating and rescue. It has similar features to the popular Pilot Knife in a more compact size. Featuring both smooth and serrated cutting edges, a blunt safety tip, and a bottle opener. The Co-Pilot has a compact design that fits great on your PFD. The blunt tip protects against accidental puncture and doubles as a flat-head screwdriver. The unique sheath firmly locks the knife in place until both sides are squeezed. The contoured handle with a rubberized grip gives you maximum control of the blade. The Co-Pilot also features a bottle opener and oxygen tank wrench.

The NRS Co-Pilot Knife worked great, not to big.
Already lost it in the river. This was the second co-pilot I've lost in 3 weeks. The clip just isn't secure enough to sit on the outside of my PFD. I'm getting another one, but this one will go on the lashing inside the pocket of my new Astral Wonderjacket.
The knife fits snuggly onto one of the universal lash tabs without any effort on my part which is nice. It's secure and there when I need it. It's small enough that I don't even notice it's attached to my PFD. It's not the sharpest knife and the super short blade can make it difficult to cut but that's the one drawback of the co-pilot versus the larger pilot.
Haven't had the need to use it fortuneately. Fits into pfd pocket, closed. Has a blunt end so I can't stab myself accidently. I bought this from our "friendly" Texans as another co. wouldn't sell it to me. It is illegal to possess but not to sell in NYS thaks to our "liberal" gouvenor raming gun control Safe Act through the legislature. A local tea party! Assemblywoman got the knives 3" and over illegal.
