The NRS Co-Pilot Knife is an excellent choice for freshwater boating and rescue. It has similar features to the popular Pilot Knife in a more compact size. Featuring both smooth and serrated cutting edges, a blunt safety tip, and a bottle opener. The Co-Pilot has a compact design that fits great on your PFD. The blunt tip protects against accidental puncture and doubles as a flat-head screwdriver. The unique sheath firmly locks the knife in place until both sides are squeezed. The contoured handle with a rubberized grip gives you maximum control of the blade. The Co-Pilot also features a bottle opener and oxygen tank wrench. Closeout model.

Haven't had the need to use it fortuneately. Fits into pfd pocket, closed. Has a blunt end so I can't stab myself accidently. I bought this from our "friendly" Texans as another co. wouldn't sell it to me. It is illegal to possess but not to sell in NYS thaks to our "liberal" gouvenor raming gun control Safe Act through the legislature. A local tea party! Assemblywoman got the knives 3" and over illegal.
Already lost it in the river. This was the second co-pilot I've lost in 3 weeks. The clip just isn't secure enough to sit on the outside of my PFD. I'm getting another one, but this one will go on the lashing inside the pocket of my new Astral Wonderjacket.
Purchased the knife - just in case. The sheath attaches to your PFD quite securely - it should never come free. The knife itself snaps into the sheath nice and securely as well, and just a simple squeeze of the release tabs and the knife pops into your hand. My only complaint is that the blade should have been sharper out of the box - it needs to be sharpened before use.
Amazing low profile PFD knife. I hope I never have to use it, but its sharp, in the right place for ease, and not getting hung up with SUP when sliding back on or getting caught on other things. Love NRS products and impressed with this knife.
