Coiled Fishing Rod Leash 

The coiled rod leash is the way to make sure that your rods don't find a watery grave. The coiled phone cord type of material keeps the leash from tangling. Attach it to your rod holder or the kayak but be sure your gear is safe in the event of an accident.

I have been testing the Danuu Rod Leash for about 7 months now and have been extremely pleased with how this product has performed. It’s very strong, easy to use, and very durable. Mostly I use this product when I am fishing offshore and targeting bigger game fish that can easily pull a rod right off of the kayak. When using this particular rod leash I do not have to worry about losing my gear to a fast and strong fish. Pros: What I like most about this rod leash is its overall strength. I have had several instances while out on the water where a large fish has taken off and pulled my rod right out of the holder, yet the leash did not break and kept my rod tethered to the boat. To me that says it all. When a leash makes the difference between losing or keeping a $250 rod/reel combo, then that is an important product to own. If you routinely put yourself in these types of situations, you don’t want your gear to fail. What I also found helpful was the buckle that is incorporated into the leash that allows you to easily disconnect from the leash from the rod which allows you to fight the fish more freely. The Danuu Rod Leash, to me, is a proven leash that I will continue to purchase in the future. Cons: My only improvement that I would make to this leash would be to make a quick release point to make attaching it to the kayak easier; possibly something like a brass clip or carabineer. Other than that, this is a very solid product. Overall: I have been extremely impressed with this product so far and do not see it failing me any time in the future. This product gets 5 out of 5 stars.
