The Wilderness Systems Tarpon SlideTrax Sideboard is the perfect mount for fish finders and rod holders along the side of the Tarpon SlideTrax system. The side board allows for unlimited mounting and customization by simply drilling through the sideboard, no need to drill into your kayak.

Mounted a Garmin fishfinder, using board and arm. Very secure, and great position, easy to paddle wih board in place. Still trying to figure out what to do with FF battery, will probably end up drilling hole and taking cable into the yak.
I bought this to mount a scotty rod holder and eventually a fishfinder so I wouldn't have to drill into my Tarpon. Sideboard seems sturdy enough. It can be improved if the manufacturer replaces the hex head bolts with wingnut bolts. This would allow the user to move the board by hand without having to carry an allen wrench. Also I would like the board to be mounted higher off the track because anything one thru-bolts onto the track has the bolt and nut protruding underneath the track. This prevents the board from sliding freely on the track. Hopefully the next generation will improve on this.
I echo John N's finding. For the money, I would expect the hardware/hole spacing to be a bit more thought out. Sideboard worked find but I had to replace all the stainless hardware for my Ride 115. Nothing fit - by the way, it didn't fit my Tarpon 100 either.
Good product, bought for my ride 115 and it works good. I noticed some spacing issues with how close the board is to the kayak when secured. If you have a fishfinder mounted and have the nuts(through) on the backside of the board they will interfere with the sliding action and start to cut into the kayak when sliding. Get longer wing nuts for the rail and use washers on the underside of the board to correct this problem. Come on harmony, you should have thought of this.
