Hood loops provide a lashing point anywhere under the hood that you can find a bolting point.
Perfect for cars or trucks without frame attachments under the front of the vehicle. Easy to install, just open the car hood and where the hood sits will be a couple of bolts that you can remove, attach the hood loops, re-tighten the bolts letting the loops hang out the side of the vehicle. I tuck mine back in the hood when I'm not using them.
Works great for about a year then they started fraying. I ordered a new set, I just replace mine yearly.
My 2017 Santa Fe had no obvious tie down points front or rear for my kayak. Installed the hood loops in front by use of an assisting bolt on each side. Work as described. I also used a EZ loop handle on the back hatch.
