The Dagger Axis series is designed to transition seamlessly from flatwater to moving water. It has unprecedented versatility. The Dagger Axis 10.5 is ideal for the eclectic paddler who appreciates relaxing day trips on the lake, but might also enjoy the challenge of a running river and it is unmatched in its class. On lakes, reservoirs, intercoastal waterways, and ponds it provides excellent tracking from a height-adjustable drop skeg that keeps it moving straight. Defined chines add maneuverability, and the Dagger Axis accepts a sprayskirt and can be fitted with thigh braces for more challenging environments. The new ConTour Ergo Outfitting offers amazing comfort and has multi-adjust options for better fit and function and now includes a topographical map imagery. Sporty and athletic, the Axis is ideal for the seasoned paddler who likes to do it all or the beginner paddler with a taste and aptitude for adventure. Limited edition colors are only available while supplies last.

I LOVE MY DAGGER AXIS!!!! (aka, Gypsy Witch) I ordered 2 Kayaks from ACK.com and love the company, great service! A Dagger Axis and a Wilderness Aspire. Love them both for different reasons, even though I've only tried them on flat water thus far. The Dagger Axis is faster than the Wilderness Aspire and more agile. The Dagger has a paddle holder, Aspire doesn't. The Wilderness Aspire has a roomier cockpit and is more stable in the water ( great for beginners or kids). The Aspire tracks VERY straight, too straight for getting under trees and around things easily. The Aspire is my step- daughter's kayak, she is 9. If choosing between these 2 kayaks, consider the following: for someone wanting speed and agility, choose the Dagger Axis. For stability and straight tracking, but slower and less maneuverable, choose the Aspire.
The Axis 10.5 was my 2nd purchase from Austin Kayak. I searched locally and online and they had the best price with free shipping. The kayak is simply great with lots of features you don't expect. Cupholder, storage compartment, skag, and the list goes on. The 2014 colors are nice too! This kayak is light enough for one person and is very stable. We use it almost daily in our 10 acre lake. Great purchase.
