The Viking Kayaks Profish 400 Lite kayak is a lightweight, comfortable, stable, and maneuverable fishing kayak. It's easy to customize to maximize your comfort and meet your paddling needs. It comes standard with 2 bucket hatches, YakGear seat, a center hatch, 4 rod holders, and a Railblaza StarPort at the stern. It has a removable clear center pod cover with a built-in bait cutting board. The center pod can also accept the tackle pod (sold separately) for different configurations and adding additional accessories. One of the coolest kayaks out there super stable and versatel. Suitable for deep sea fishing or just out on the lake or river you can't go wrong
Beautiful kayak is fast stable ideal for offshore fishing, the only problem i had is that in beetween the center hatch and the seat the plastic is soft so it gets depressed and when sitting in your kayak you can not seal the hatch. I do not know if this only happenes in my kayak. But it is a pitty. That is why i keep two stars.
I ordered this kayak from Austin last month, and couldn't be happier with the service they provided. Shipped from Texas to Pa in 4 days for free! For those that might not know, this is no longer a "lite" model, Viking beefed up the resin which added a few lbs but made it more durable and from what I've read, it is now 13' 6" instead of 13' 3". Very well made, can't wait to get it out on the water soon! I'm not crazy about the color but mine does have a lot of yellow in the bow for visibility regardless. If you're willing to wait longer, you'll have more color choices. The staff at Austin was helpful and friendly. I say go with them, you won't be sorry!
I have taking this Kayak BTB twice once a South Padre island and the surf was 5 feet and it handled it. I also went to PINS and this is a great boat for heading out into the Gulf. It's a light and fast boat. I got it as a second Kayak for friends and family. It is used in the bays and lakes mostly and it glides on the water.
