The BioLite Camp Stove uses the heat from the fire to generate electricity via a thermoelectric generator which powers a fan creating airflow for improved combustion, surplus electricity is sent to the USB port for charging devices. The stove cooks your meals with nothing but the twigs you collect on your journey, eliminating the need for heavy, expensive, polluting petroleum gas. Quick to light, fast to boil and easy to use.

First of all, only four stars because I have yet to use it.The theory has been around for along time,it's good to see that someone finally connected the dots.Of course, where there's wood involved there's smoke,so don't go firing this puppy up in your tent in the middle of a snowstorm, not wise! And this is the big difference with liquid and propane gas stoves, but not in your tent not even the vestibule! The idea of charging all your toys(cell phones, tabloids, even your Brunton battery) is a stroke of genius.I've even put BioLite's optional grill on my wish-list.The little square fire logs that come with the stove would be a good thing to stock up on (ie.damp twigs)!
