The Sea to Summit AquaRack Small Storage Rack takes up HALF the vertical wall space of the original Sea to Summit AquaRack! The Sea to Summit AquaRack storage rack is still packed with all the same great features and with a hefty capacity of up to 110 lbs/ 50kg. Designed to store or display smaller boats, the new AquaRacks are perfect for whitewater or play boats, lightweight composites, smaller touring kayaks, and rowing shells.

Great racks, poor mounting hardware. As others have stated - ditch the screws that come with the kit. I predrilled holes in studs to mount them and they still snapped upon tightening (San Francisco Bay Bridge Chinese bolts scandal anyone ?). I purchased similar screws and mounted - then I put my 94lb Hobie Mirage Oasis Tandem kayak on the rack....... about 15 minutes later I heard a thud - kayak down - the screws snapped. Not to be defeated I made a trip to the local hardware store and purchased galvanized 5/16" LAG Bolts and washers. I put the washers in a pit on my driveway and tapped with a hammer to "indent" them so they would mate up with the indents on the rack holes. Then I used my drill to enlarge the mounting holes in the rack - just a hair--- so the bolts would fit. Then after pre-drilling pilot holes in the studs -- bolted the rack to the wall - Bam ! Stronger, Better, has held up to 1 month of use so far. I do love the pads and shape of the rack - cradles my kayak at the strongest points and does not appear to be load on the shell to cause deformation. Guys - Gals - just be prepared to be a little "handy" by making a trip to the hardware store and have a drill & wrench at the ready.
