Keep those nice fishing rods from swimming away with the Hobie Rod Leash. Secure the rod leash to your boat with the brass snap and your rod with the adjustable bungee loop. A quick snap connection feature allows easy detachment of the Hobie Rod Leash when needed. Heavy duty webbing construction and quick connect hook.
What can you say about Hobie rod leashes. They are very nice, reasonably priced, and seem to last. I have a handful of these and a mirage drive leash (which is a rod leash with some additional mounting hardware). Leashes on your fishing pole take a little getting used to but after a bit you don't really notice them. They are well worth the effort though!! In a million years, I could not imagine dumping my kayak, but it happened. And I lost EVERYTHING-rods, reels, camera, lures, gear, food...$1800 bucks worth. I could have bought a new Hobie for that money! I am very happy with my Hobie leashes.
A little bulky, strap that goes around reel seat either gets in way of reeling,or is a little uncomfortable to your hand while holding rod.
Hobie Rod Leash - of all the rod leashes I have, this is by far the best for securing rods to the kayak. The leash does not stretch out (like others) and stays more durable, perfect length for kayaks.
I have two of these for my pro angler and they work great. Better to spend $20 on a leash than lose a $1000 plus dollar rod and reel setup.
