My new Sunburst Straight XL 58" is a true quality piece of equipment. If there is a better paddle out there I don't know which one it would be. Just how can You beat 15 oz (plus or minus a very little) for a 58" paddle. It feels good in the hands, knifes through the water like a razor and is finished like a piece of finest furniture. I'll have this for a long time. You just can't go wrong with this.
Got this paddle in the XL Straight Shaft version, and give it 5 stars. As the other reviewer said, the handle is perfect, the palm swell is a bit larger than than my other BB paddles, fits well in the hand. The weight is great, going to a BB Arrow Paddle seems like you're carrying a 5lb weight after this. I like the look of the paddle also, personally. It gives a lot of power, but is deceptive due to a slight shaft flex so you don't feel as if you're working as hard. The outer pattern of the shaft gives a good grip also.
