What can we say - this paddle is for the paddler that wants nothing but the best in power and performance, without breaking the bank. We prefer the XL Bent Shaft option and think the $10 up-charge it totally worth it! For those with slightly smaller frames, stick with the regular size blade since the XL will take more effort to move through the water and can lead to fatigue faster.

| Review: | Got this paddle in the XL Straight Shaft version, and give it 5 stars. As the other reviewer said, the handle is perfect, the palm swell is a bit larger than than my other BB paddles, fits well in the hand. The weight is great, going to a BB Arrow Paddle seems like you're carrying a 5lb weight after this. I like the look of the paddle also, personally. It gives a lot of power, but is deceptive due to a slight shaft flex so you don't feel as if you're working as hard. The outer pattern of the shaft gives a good grip also. | ||||

| Review: | ACK, I received the sunburst xl paddle as a gift from my sister. I first saw the paddle at jersey paddler and loved the look and feel of it. So far so good. I am switching from a ZRE 12' bent shaft which I have used exclusively for about 8 years. Surprisingly, I have felt no weight increase at all, no fatigue and the transition to my new paddle was pretty smooth. I am having to adjust to how long it feels. I am 5'8 and it is a 52" paddle. The rivers are shallow here in California and I am scraping bottom a lot. Nicely balanced paddle and the palm grip is perfect. | ||||
