The Wilderness Systems Ride 115X Kayak has all the stability and versatility you expect from a Ride 115, but it's now loaded with features just for anglers. Wilderness Systems added additional scupper tubes in the standing area for increased support, rigid aluminum carry handles with foam comfort sleeves, and an easier-to-use paddle rest. There is a removable center console that reveals a large pass thru the hull. It has a battery storage area and a bottom transducer mount. It allows you to set up your fishfinder head mount, battery, and transducer quickly and easily. They've also increased the bulkhead width to provide more flexibility in mounting accessories and added a stand-assist strap. There are 8" Slide Trax along the stern tankwell and under the removable console. The Ride 115X features the Freedom Elite AirPro Advanced seating for comfort and easy adjustability. The AirPro Freedom Elite Advanced seat adds over 4 inches of increased height over the standard 'low' seat.

I bought by Ride 115x angler edition and couldn't be happier. I still need some time on it but after first float on river it seems like a great boat. My only complaint is i with there were more little stroage areas around the seat for immediate access. I just bought the little nets for side (ie Hobie and simiarl one on Amazon) and will install one on one side and some hooks and loops for other to quickly attach tackle boxes. Also,I was hoping Wilderness had something similar to what the Hobie Mirages have for fill in the transducer hole. If using for something other than fising, maybe fast river trip. I would rather not have to unload all battery, disattach fishfinder, etc.. and also not expose my transducere to sharp rocks on river bottom and my bracket on top should i flip. This should be easy fix and have asked Wilderness about this via email and ZERO responses. I've heard there customer service sucks and have expereinced it first hand. So I guess the jury is out in terms of needs for the future (ie warranty, repairs, etc..)
Ordered on a Tuesday received on a Friday, you just can't beat that. The representative I spoke to was very knowledgeable and very helpful! Austin Kayak is the best! Oh yeah back to the boat! Buy this. Trust me you won't have any remorse once you get this bad boy out on the water. The seat is more comfortable than my recliner, and probably more adjustable as well! Throw in the removable console with the ability to mount a depth finder in about 15-20 minutes..What else can you say? If your looking for stability, a well made fishing yak, a reliable and respectable brand, comfort, the ability to easily add a depth/fish finder THIS IS YOU.
