I have tested and quite possibly put my Ocean Kayaks Trident 13 through every situation you can think of in a kayak. We have paddled them five miles offshore, down the Devils River, on glassy flats, and even in 40+ mph windstorms. It is quite possibly the most universal kayak I have ever paddled or seen for every situation! There is enough room to pack for a week long paddling trip and still be maneuverable in shallow and in tight areas. The Rod Pod is what makes this possible. It’s what sets this kayak apart from any other kayak on the market; you have access to almost every inch inside of your kayak. Another great added bonus is it is wider in the footwell with a flat deck. This makes it easy for a paddler to stand and sight cast for cruising reds. Con: The Trident seems to turn into the wind all the time. You need to have a rudder and a drift sock or do what I do and learn to fish backwards. This would be the ultimate kayak for any situation if it did not constantly swing into the wind. Overall: This is the kayak you want as your go to kayak because it handles in any situation you need. It is stable, has more storage than imaginable, and is durable enough to withstand anything you can put it through. There is probably an exception to the rule, but I doubt it. Buying the non-angler model gave me more color choices and it was easy to turn it into an angler. I have the red one which is BRIGHT. I chose red for two reasons. The main reason I chose red was because I had a fishing team called Redtide. The other reason was to be more visible in case of emergency situations I am very visible.

Review:	There is no way you are going to flip in this kayak. Super stable fishing platform. Can be accessorized for any fishing situation. Ease of getting on and off a huge plus. Seat could certainly be higher in relation to feet. The kayak does seen to love to turn left no matter how I sit.That one annoys me. Spent hours on the river today my first time out on the yak. The seat it comes with is virtually useless. It is a pad under your butt. No back support at all. I enjoyed the ease of paddling the river in my new boat. Cant wait for legal bass and pike in two weeks.

Review:	Love this yak. Super stable to the point where I feel completely safe sitting side saddle speed jigging in 300 feet of water. Easy to paddle and good speed with the rudder down. I can slide up to the front of the yak to put my fish in my fish bag no problem. The rod pod cover is great. I can drop in and remove my down rigger no problem there. Paired my yak with a humminbird 587 with scupper transducer, just brilliant and Im glad I went with the 587 over the 387 for the bigger screen. Very happy I chose this yak. My only issue with my yak was the rudder install from ACK. While it works, the holes drilled with the plastic plugs were not secure I guess youd say. When you move the rudder, the plastic plugs will pop out and go back in, something Ive checked with some other guys I fish with and they dont have that problem. Ill get around to fixing it soon. It does let some water in because of this but not very much. So not a huge deal but probably the ONLY negative thing I could say about it. On a positive note the shipping from ACK was incredible. Two days after ordering my trident, I had it had my door. ACK pricing and value cant be beat. After shopping around locally, the pricing was basically the same.

Review:	This kayak is awesome, love the in hull storage. The trident 13, is sleaker and a lot more stable in the Ocean than my other kayak. Paddling is also a more efficient and comfort is way superior than anything i've been in.

Review:	Kayak arrived promptly and was packaged very well. No damage in shipping. I decided on the Trident 13 Angler based on other user reviews. I was looking for a fishing Kayak that would handle well in a stiff breeze on a lake- like body of water. It does just that. It tracks well regardless of wind direction without the need for a rudder and seems to make decent headway. I'm happy with my purchase.
