The Hobie Mirage Up/Down Handle with Set Screw is the replacement handle for the up/down control on the rudder for all Hobie Mirage kayaks. This will not work for the steering handle.

Review:	I have a mirage revolution and trying to get this lever on properly by myself was a very difficult undertaking unless you have extremely long arms im 63 Really a 2 person job.

Review:	The mirage up\down handle is a sturdy item. Intallation as far as the handle is concerned was not a problem. The problem was with the spring loaded stem on the up down control in the kayak. The difficulty was holding the the stem out far enopugh and installing the handle. This assembly was on a 2005 model Mirage. A suggestion is to install a notch on the stem to attach a half washer to hold the up down control once installed. Thus allowing the instalation of the up\down handle. I do not own or have seen a newer model design.
