Stohlquist Contact Fingerless Gloves offer special protection with warmth without giving up the feel for the paddle, helping you retain precise feel and control. The fingerless design has a non- slip grip similar to bare hands, wet or dry.
The picture is deceiving. It makes them look like big, thick, dramatic gloves. They're not. They're nice thin, flexible, comfortable gloves.I have big hands, but ordered a size L for fear of them being loose. The L is tight, but that's what I was hoping for. They certainly work for me. [I'm a casual, but frequent touring yaker, not a whitewaterer.
the gloves are thin so they don't provide much protection against blisters, but something is better than nothing. I wouldn't use these if I had to do a lot of strenuous paddling. Definitely not worth the price.
I purchased these gloves prior to a 5 day Desolation Canyon trip. After the second day one of the gloves had a tear in the material on the little finger. And at the end of the third day other seams had started to come apart. In summation, these gloves are comfortable to wear, somewhat difficult to take off and not at all durable. I would recommend choosing a different glove.
I like 'em; they're good!
