Works well. GPS is a little hard to see as it is a little small. Gives your location very clearly in case you ever needed help.
I installed this unit on my Malibu X-13 kayak with the scupper hole transducer mount kit. It is quick and easy to install only had to mod 1 part so the transducer would fit up in the groove and not hang below the hull. The unit is very easy to use. It marks structure very well. I was in 18 ft of water and could make out the branches on the tree then confirmed its existence by snagging it with my jig. Score one for the tree but I knew what got my jig. You can see very good detail and tell the difference between rock and trees on the bottom to the point where you could identify a tree laying across rocks. Marking structure is as simple as hitting enter twice and you just marked the spot. the scroll back option is awesome. you can scroll back through the ground covered and mark a spot on the screen and make a waypoint with it. very handy for when the texas wind is blowing you at 2.5 mph across the lake. I have not had a chance to really put it through the paces was only on the water for about 3 hours today. I have had several Raymarine HD fishfinders on my boats and this is right up there so far. Well worth the money. You get what you pay for and when it comes to electronics knowing how to use the good ones will save you alot of time. I highly recommend this one so far.
