The Railblaza Rod Holder II is robust, versatile and a great value. The rotating collar helps reduce 'strike-theft' and the rear gimble lock reduces rod rotation for compatible rods; lift to slide rods through. Fully adjustable 360° around, over 90° vertical; a square-tooth adjustable tilt stops rotational slipping. Available in Black or White.
My only complaint about these holders is that they do not rotate wHile locked in the mount. other than that they are great.
Ordered 2 wilderness tarpon 100's. Based on recommendations from staff, ordered 2 Railblaza Rod holder II. Well, I was not told it would not fit directly on the wilderness system and that other pieces would need to be ordered. Very disappointing from such a good company.
This is the "least" secure rod holder I have used to date. The bolt and nut which holds it from twisting has stripped out on all 6 of these that I own, first trip out, and it cannot be tightened. Also, I find the locking clip or ring or whatever you want to call it is pretty flimsy, I cannot see trusting this unit with my very expensive rods & reels, alas these will be tossed onto the pile of worthless gear I have purchased, possibly given to a friend who doesn't fish quite as hard as we do.
Great holder working well on my PA 14. I did use braided line to make a leash to my rail. The slide collar does lock it in but must've bumped it and had holder come loose getting my rod out after a fish strike. I also use the extension and the system works great keeping rods clear of my legs trolling in the Hobie
